Happy Friday ! Had an early morning today, had to start prepping for dinner service tonight! I have lots of work to do! Its supposed to be really busy tonight, but I'm excited! I'm thinking I'll sell out! ahah Yesterday morning I went with my younger sister to the barn, she loves taking care of my horse, its really relaxing actually! She made so many different homemade horse treats for him and some of his barn mates to try hehe. They really loved them and I'm thinking she's going to start selling them at different barns! Here are some pictures, kinda bummed they're in square shape.. I didn't bring my camera because its kinda dusty, so these are from my phone! I think other than that they turned out pretty good! I love Reoko, my snuggle baby, as you can see. Talk later!

Its really beautiful this time of year, and I totally know why its my favorite! My sister just surprised me with a new green biscuit, now the competition is getting serious haha! Pro street hockey players! hah! Alright, well I'm going to mess around with my new puck now! Have a great night!

Vegetable Soup

Good afternoon! Today for lunch I made this really hardy vegetable soup! I just picked out some veggies that sounded tasty. :* To make this, all you have to do is take about 4 or 5 carrots, cut them in circles. Some Italian squash, corn, and onion if you like it. This "recipe" is so simple I just throw everything into the pot with two containers of vegetable stock and let it go on low heat. You can add some salt and pepper,  some garlic powder or onion powder too, for some extra flavor! Getting ready to work in the restaurant in LA tonight. I just made 120+ cookies for ice cream sandwiches with a sweet and salty carmel sauce! I know everyone will love it! I'll post some pics of it later this week. Busy busy but I love it. Talk to you later!

Hii people! Wow! Today was so nice! I know my post is really late but I haven't got a chance to get to my computer all day. I am now home and nice and snuggly :* This morning I met one of my really sweet Italian friends for lunch. She was only here in California for a few days then she's off to travel the globe again. We ate at one of my favorite little cafes. It was so pretty. After we ate, we walked around venice, did a little bit of shopping and got a fresh juice. Glad we got together while she's still in town!

Happy December 1st! So for my one of healthy snacks today, I had this incredible pitaya bowl! What I love most about these are they're  dairy free, so its made with coconut milk. It also has strawberry, banana, and mango! My favorite! Anyway, I have to go get ready! I'm going to the Kings game tonight against Vancouver. I have a feeling we're going to win! There is a USC/UCLA hockey game that starts right after the Kings game ends, really excited for that ! Go Kings Go and Fight On!

Happy Friday everyone! Since i didn't have a post yesterday because of Thanksgiving, I thought I would share some pics from my 2 day vacay! My family and I went up to northern California, to one of my favorite cities ever! I have a horse named Capri, that it out at pasture so we visited her. The pictures I posted are from the barn. After, we went exploring for some Scandinavian desserts, which, I really look forward to! We went to one of our good friend's restaurant for our thanksgiving dinner. It was so delicious! The first course was a farm fresh apple salad with a lemon vinaigrette. The second course was the turkey of course! On the plate it had lightly whipped mashed potatoes and some grilled squash and zucchini. The dessert course was a choice of pumpkin cheesecake or a chocolate mousse, I chose the mousse because thats one of my favorites! I'm working on some recipes to post within the next couple of days so keep checking back for a new one!

Banana Bread

Hello everyone! This is my first post so thats exciting! I have been in the mood to bake some banana bread and finally got the chance to bake it the other day! This really is a no fail recipe! This bread is actually really light and pretty healthy for us who still want to stay in shape and enjoy a good snack :*) Give it a go ! I'll post the recipe below.

xx, Micaela

  • 3 tablespoons (45g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large, ripe bananas
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup (168g) sugar
  • 2 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3g) kosher salt

Heat the oven to 350F ( 176 c ) and lightly grease a 5-by-9 loaf pan. Peel the bananas and in a large bowl smash them with a fork. Mix in the sugar first and then the egg, once mixed add the melted butter, stir well. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet, until all the flour mixture is incorporated. Be sure to not over mix ! Pour the banana bread mixture into the baking pan. Bake for 45-55 minutes. Enjoy ;)
